What I hope to gain from this program

What an honor to have this opportunity to document my personal and professional goals in my pursuit of higher education. I’ve wanted to begin my doctoral program since completing my master’s degree five years ago, however was consumed by life and work. Although that scenario hasn’t changed, I have decided to pursue my dreams and go after what life has to offer. My goal in personal development and growth has led to the core need for this degree. As a professional in the industry of information technology, specializing in Department of Defense consulting, a degree that emphasizes organizational transformations and encourages the initiation of processes for the assessment and satisfaction of future people requirements, I see continuous development opportunities that will advance our efforts in the industry and set us apart from our competitors. I believe that the Human Capital Management Program from Bellevue University would be invaluable in helping me to attain my career goals. Having worked for my current organization, CACI, for over 16 years, I recognize and have witnessed the value people can make in the work place should they choose to. Personally, I have hopes to enhance my skill set and gain the tools that will allow me to influence my organization's attitude towards its most vital asset: Human Capital. I’d like to become a change-agent within my organization by providing strategic thought leadership with a focus on organizational knowledge-learning systems that enhance productivity, value creation, and organization sustainability.
